#beatlesart.gallery Je suis né à Londres et j'ai grandi à Surrey, en Angleterre. À l'âge de douze ans, ma famille a déménagé en Écosse, dans un petit village juste à l'extérieur de Glasgow. J'ai toujours de forts sentiments et de l'amour pour l'Écosse et surtout pour le peuple de Glasgow avec sa chaleur et son humour. J'ai fréquenté la Glasgow School of Art en tant qu'étudiant externe étudiant le dessin et la peinture. En 1968, j'ai quitté la maison pour suivre un cours de Fondation en Art et Design au Carlisle College of Art dans le nord de l'Angleterre. J'ai ensuite eu la chance d'obtenir une place au Hornsey College of Art à Londres, une école d'art prestigieuse et renommée où j'ai obtenu un diplôme avec mention très bien en Art et Design Graphique. J'ai passé plus de quarante ans en tant que consultant en design travaillant dans l'art commercial avec des entreprises et des marques bien connues telles que Shell, BMW, Alcan, Glaxo, ainsi que de nombreuses petites entreprises entrepreneuriales. En 2017, j'ai décidé de consacrer plus de temps à mes propres projets artistiques, ce qui m'a donné la liberté d'exprimer ma créativité plus librement. L'un des projets sur lesquels j'ai travaillé au cours de l'année dernière pendant le confinement est une série de vingt-sept œuvres d'art créatives basées sur les paroles des chansons emblématiques des Beatles. Je travaille actuellement sur une deuxième phase de ce projet passionnant qui sera bientôt publié ! Je suis marié et j'ai deux filles adultes, l'une vivant près de chez moi à Thames Ditton, Surrey, et l'autre fille vivant en Suède. I was born in London and grew up in Surrey, England. At the age of twelve my family moved to Scotland to a small village just outside of Glasgow. I still have strong feelings and love for Scotland and especially for the Glaswegian people with their warmth and humour. I attended Glasgow School of Art as an external student studying drawing and Painting.

In 1968 I left home to attend a Foundation Art & Design Course at Carlisle College of Art in the north of England. I was then fortunate to gain a place at Hornsey College of Art in London, a prestigious and renowned Art School where I graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Art and Graphic Design.

I spent over forty years as a Design Consultant working in commercial art with well known companies and brands eg Shell, BMW, Alcan, Glaxo, also smaller entrepreneurial businesses.

In 2017 I decided to concentrate more time on my own art projects giving me the freedom to express my creativity more freely. One of the projects I have worked on for the past year during lockdown is a series of twenty seven creative artworks based on the lyrics of The Beatles iconic songs. A spin off was the ABBA series with my family connection to Sweden.

Recently I have published a new series of artwork inspired by the beautifully seaside town of Båstad in Sweden.

I am married with two grown up daughters, one living near me in Thames Ditton, Surrey and the other daughter living in Sweden.
