#beatlesart.gallery Sono nato a Londra e sono cresciuto a Surrey, in Inghilterra. All'età di dodici anni la mia famiglia si è trasferita in Scozia, in un piccolo villaggio appena fuori Glasgow. Ho ancora forti sentimenti e amore per la Scozia e soprattutto per il popolo di Glasgow con il loro calore e umorismo. Ho frequentato la Glasgow School of Art come studente esterno che studiava disegno e pittura. Nel 1968 ho lasciato casa per seguire un corso di Fondazione in Arte e Design al Carlisle College of Art nel nord dell'Inghilterra. Ho poi avuto la fortuna di ottenere un posto al Hornsey College of Art a Londra, una prestigiosa e rinomata scuola d'arte dove mi sono laureato con un First Class Honours Degree in Arte e Design Grafico. Ho trascorso oltre quarant'anni come consulente di design lavorando nell'arte commerciale con aziende e marchi ben noti come Shell, BMW, Alcan, Glaxo, oltre a molte piccole imprese imprenditoriali. Nel 2017 ho deciso di dedicare più tempo ai miei progetti artistici, dandomi la libertà di esprimere la mia creatività più liberamente. Uno dei progetti su cui ho lavorato nell'ultimo anno durante il lockdown è una serie di ventisette opere d'arte creative basate sui testi delle iconiche canzoni dei Beatles. Attualmente sto lavorando a una seconda fase di questo emozionante progetto che sarà presto pubblicato! Sono sposato con due figlie adulte, una vive vicino a me a Thames Ditton, Surrey e l'altra figlia vive in Svezia. I was born in London and grew up in Surrey, England. At the age of twelve my family moved to Scotland to a small village just outside of Glasgow. I still have strong feelings and love for Scotland and especially for the Glaswegian people with their warmth and humour. I attended Glasgow School of Art as an external student studying drawing and Painting.

In 1968 I left home to attend a Foundation Art & Design Course at Carlisle College of Art in the north of England. I was then fortunate to gain a place at Hornsey College of Art in London, a prestigious and renowned Art School where I graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Art and Graphic Design.

I spent over forty years as a Design Consultant working in commercial art with well known companies and brands eg Shell, BMW, Alcan, Glaxo, also smaller entrepreneurial businesses.

In 2017 I decided to concentrate more time on my own art projects giving me the freedom to express my creativity more freely. One of the projects I have worked on for the past year during lockdown is a series of twenty seven creative artworks based on the lyrics of The Beatles iconic songs. A spin off was the ABBA series with my family connection to Sweden.

Recently I have published a new series of artwork inspired by the beautifully seaside town of Båstad in Sweden.

I am married with two grown up daughters, one living near me in Thames Ditton, Surrey and the other daughter living in Sweden.
